My Weekend Adventure

On Friday, January 21, some of my friends and I went on a little adventure in Philadelphia. We started our day off with some breakfast from Temple’s dining hall at Johnson-Hardwick. We then made a trip to Dick Blick to pick up some art supplies, such as paint and charcoal paper. After we finished our trip to Blick we walked to Chinatown. While in Chinatown we visited a few stores. The first store we went into had mostly Hello Kitty merchandise in it. We then went into the Asian Arts and Crafts store. This store had paper lanterns, gold colored dragon statues, and ninja suits. We then walked to 11th and Race Street and went into the Chinese Bazaar on Race Street. This store also had a lot of paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling, as well as blinking lights. They sold traditional Chinese clothing and wedding dresses, fake flowers, decorated fans, Chinese decorated vases, books written in Chinese, etc. After we finished looking around that store, we met up with my friend and my boyfriend and put the things we purchased in the trunk of their car. We then went to a restaurant on the same street as the Chinese Bazaar called Joy Tsin Lau for dinner. After dinner we drove the three friends I started my day with back to Peabody at Temple. I packed some things to take home for the weekend and then left with my friend and my boyfriend. We then drove to Tony Luke’s to pick up lunch for the next day. I finished off my night by watching a movie with my friend and my boyfriend.
